Great Day…but…

Well today was the first day of school for our little man. Trey is going to start going to school twice a week for a half day to start interacting with kids his own age. But as a dad this is sorta hard to deal with. But I know it what’s best for the little guy.
Google has found us
I’m trying to get better at keeping this up to date. Well today I found that Google Maps has finally updated their system and has us on their maps system. Their satilite image still needs to be updated but the roads have been added.

We are on the corner of Gallant Fox and Timounium.
I know it’s been a while
Here it is 2 months after the trip and I’m finally posting pictures from Mexico.

Getting closer to showers
They have started to connect our house to city services. Water and sewer will soon make bathrooms more useful.

Maybe Rich should learn a little something about shadows…get out of the shot.
What do you think Trey?
Every once in a while we bring Trey to the house to let him see his new house.

If a picture is worth a 1000 words then what does this tell us about our new house?

Is that a little smile?

Trey checks out the kitchen.

You’ve got to wonder what goes through his head.
The elves put in the shelves
I already know one of the first things I’m going to want to replace. The shelves are the metal wire shelving. We are going to have to replace these shelves to something else.

These things are ugly. The last picture is in our master bedroom. I don’t think so.
Look at the pretty lights
The light is not right! Well actually it is where the plans have it but it is really out of place.

It’s hard to see from this angle but the light is too far away from the walls and is in the center of the walk-thru to the kitchen.

This is a little better view.
Let it be hot…let it be cold
We have our heaters and air conditions units.

The down stairs heater.

The upstairs heater

And our air conditions units.
It’s going to be nice to have refrigerated air in the house. When it get over 100 we can keep it cool in the house. With swamp coolers you can only drop the temperature about 15 to 20 degrees which would still make it about 80 in the house. I love the heat but that’s too hot for inside a house. Besides that, Steff get grumpy when it’s too hot inside.
We have a problem Houston (part 2)
This is the latest state of our kiva fireplace

Here is what it’s going to look like when completed.

And here is what we had.

I think its going to be much better with the steps.
Who are we???
Just a family that is building a new house. You actually thought you would find information here…I haven’t had any time but I will post something once I get a chance.
